It never crossed my mind to become a career counselor, or anything else that had to do with helping people find jobs. Besides, I was having a hard enough time finding my own job! I relocated to Tennessee from Alabama where I had been at the same company for six years. When I moved, I realized how important a college degree had become when I was offered jobs at half the pay rate I was receiving back home.
